Over the years, my career has been rooted in IT and operations — the engines that keep organizations running. I’ve always enjoyed the structure, systems, and behind-the-scenes problem-solving that make great service possible.
But this entreprenuerial journey with Fixo Solutions Limited has been different… and incredibly
rewarding.
Transitioning from a primarily backroom role to being at the forefront - training new Fixo Fundis,
empowering students, building capacity, and engaging directly with people — has opened my
eyes in new ways.
I’ve come to appreciate:
1. The power of practical mentorship: Seeing Fundis grow in confidence and skill reminds me
why we built Fixo in the first place.
2. Fresh perspectives from learners: Their questions challenge us to innovate, refine, and
rethink how we deliver quality.
3. Human connection: Listening to experiences on the ground brings real insight that no
dashboard can show.
4. Purpose-driven work: Contributing directly to economic empowerment and youth capacity
building is deeply fulfilling.
5. Listening firsthand to customer feedback during our Open Days and through our various
channels
This transition has reminded me that innovation doesn’t just come from systems — it comes from
people. From the Fundis who are passionate about improving their craft, to the students eager to
learn, to the customers who trust us with their homes and share honest feedback that helps us
improve every day.
Being on the ground, hearing different voices, and seeing the impact of our work up close has
added a new depth to my leadership journey.
Here’s to growth, continuous learning, and building a culture where both technology and people
thrive.
